Pete joined WYC in January 2020. He is a qualified youth worker and has previously worked in Coventry and India in community and youth worker roles. He enjoys sport including cricket, golf and recently running! Since joining WYC Pete has grown the youth provision and strengthened ties with the local community. He was key to keeping youth activities running and supporting youth club members throughout the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. Pete has plans to continue to develop the youth provision at the centre, work more with local schools and partner with local organisations. 


Chris Hunt – Youth Sessional Worker

Chris is a Wendover lad and has been working with the youth centre as a sessional worker since 2018. Chris’s has a degree in Sports Coaching from Buckinghamshire University and is currently a Team leader at Premier Education. In his spare time, he assists with our Thursday and occasionally Friday youth sessions. He is passionate about sport and is a keen footballer and cricket player. He brings high energy; enthusiasm and the young people enjoy engaging with him.


AMBER HAWES - Social media Co-Ordinator

Amber is local to the area and started helping and volunteering at the centre in the summer of 2021. Amber is currently studying psychology at Liverpool University and is passionate about Netball, Korfball and working to help others. She has been running the social media platforms since September 2021. Since she has taken on the role, the centre’s social media has grown and become increasingly professional. Amber has also helped to implement and push campaigns at the centre; including Breast Cancer Awareness Week, Movember Activity Challenge and Random Acts of Kindness day.

As well as being Wendover Youth Centre's Company Secretary, Miranda takes care of all the administrative jobs. If you contact the email admin@wendoveryouth.co.uk Miranda will be there to answer your questions about the centre.
